Running Start Program
Even though the 2020-21 school year looks different, the Running Start program has many virtual events, opportunities, and resources available for you! We are bringing in guest artists via Zoom, setting up virtual internships and performance opportunities, and you can meet with us individually with a video chat or phone call.

Music is more than a passion—it’s a profession. Running Start is MSU’s multi-disciplinary program that helps equip students for work in today's music industry. Running Start prepares students to creatively channel their passions into vibrant careers by providing:
- individual career coaching
- events and workshops
- entrepreneurial opportunities
- performance opportunities
- engagement with faculty and alumni
- online resources for internships, jobs, auditions, and more
