Coming together as a community

The college is grateful for offers to support students.

To the MSU College of Music Community,

During these unprecedented and uneasy times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the College of Music has received a number of questions from people who would like to help our students. It is heart-warming to receive these inquiries, and we are grateful for the concern that many of you have expressed.

This is certainly a challenging time for College of Music students who may need financial assistance.  We have a large international and out of state student population.  A number of these students have not been able to return home.  We are also keenly aware that many of these students have worked to earn income which is no longer available to them because of the present circumstances.

Should you wish to join us in assisting students in need, please consider making a secure, credit card gift to the College of Music Student Emergency Fund: givingto.msu.edu/musicstudentemergencyfund/

If you have any questions or need help providing support for an area other than our Student Emergency Assistance Fund, whether in the College of Music or another area at MSU, please feel free to be in touch. Our community is stronger when we work together, and the silver lining of this situation is seeing the outpouring of concern people have shown the college and our students. If you would like to help, our advancement team and I are happy to be of assistance.

Stay safe,
