Choral Ensembles Auditions Spring 2019

All MSU ensembles include music majors and non-majors. University Chorale typically includes only music majors. All MSU ensembles (except Chamber Choir) are available for one credit, which may fulfill degree requirements (depending on the degree).

University Chorale will not be holding auditions for spring semester..
MUS 127: University Chorale; MTWTh, 1:50 – 2:40 p.m.; Music Practice Bldg. #103; 45 members; highly selective; mostly graduates and upper level undergraduates. Traditional choral repertoire; several performances on-and off-campus each semester. David Rayl, conductor.

MUS 126: State Singers; MTWTh, 12:40 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Music Practice Bldg. #103; 50 members; selective; mostly undergraduate music majors and non-majors. Traditional choral repertoire; two performances on-campus each semester; Jonathan Reed, conductor.
Women’s Chamber Ensemble

Please note that members of WCE who are vocal music majors must also sing in either Chorale or State Singers. WCE enrollment will be limited to 32 singers.

Men’s Glee Club

MUS 124: Choral Union; W, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.; Comm Arts & Sciences Bldg. #147; 125 members; mostly adult members of the greater Lansing community; brief audition/interview required. Major choral-orchestral works; one or two performances on-campus each semester; David Rayl, conductor.
