Submit one official transcript from every college or university attended. Transcripts are considered official when mailed by the institution directly to the College of Music at the address below. Deadline is Dec 1.

To be considered for a fellowship or teaching assistantship, please provide a curriculum vitae that includes all relevant education and professional experience including:
- Group teaching experience (where, when, how long, what classes, how many, etc.)
- Private teaching experiences (where, when, how long, ages of students)
- Previous experience as a graduate assistant

Submit to the College of Music a master’s thesis, if a thesis was required for the master’s degree. An applicant who did not complete a thesis must submit a comparable sample of his or her academic or professional writing. Upload this to the College of Music Supplemental Application. A 500- to 700-word essay about the appplicant's professional experience and future professional goals.

Letters of Recommendation
Request letters of recommendation from three individuals familiar with your musical abilities.

To be considered for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy degree program in music education, an applicant must:
- have completed successfully at least three years of employment as a music teacher, as evidenced in letters of recommendation and other documents submitted in support of the application.
- have a master's degree in music education or a total of 30 credits of approved course work.
