Michigan State University Application
Complete the online application to Michigan State University. There is a nonrefundable application fee. Apply early if you want to be considered for financial aid, a graduate assistantship, or a fellowship. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This new degree recently received final approval from MSU. As a result, the MSU application does not have yet the option to apply for the DMA in Collaborative Piano. For now, please apply to MSU for the DMA in Performance (major code: 7329). We will switch all interested students to the correct major code after the approval process has completed.
College of Music Supplemental Application
Submit the online College of Music Supplemental Application. There is a $60 nonrefundable application fee. Deadline is Dec 1.
Use the College of Music Supplemental Application to pre-register for an audition.
Submit one official transcript from every college or university attended. Transcripts are considered official when mailed by the institution directly to the College of Music at the address below. Deadline is Dec 1 or at least two weeks before your scheduled audition.

To be considered for a fellowship or teaching assistantship, please provide a curriculum vitae that includes all relevant education and professional experience including:
- Group teaching experience (where, when, how long, what classes, how many, etc.)
- Private teaching experiences (where, when, how long, ages of students)
- Previous experience as a graduate assistant

Piano Assistantship Application
To be considered for a piano teaching assistantship, please file this short application (PDF). There will be an additional audition scheduled on your audition day. Only those who file this application before their scheduled audition will be considered. Deadline is Dec 1 or at least two weeks before your scheduled audition.
In your personal statement please describe your educational and musical background, goals and objectives, and future career plans. Please feel free to include any information that you feel would be helpful to the College of Music in making our admission decision. Limit your statement to 300-500 words.

Letters of Recommendation
Request letters of recommendation from three individuals familiar with your musical abilities.
