Brass and Percussion
The outstanding faculty in the brass and percussion area value the many channels that creative expression can take. That's one reason this curriculum attracts students with wide-ranging interests. Students working in this area pursue diverse majors, including music performance, music education, music therapy, and music theory.
To hone their skills, students take private lessons and attend studio classes with their major professor each week. In addition, students actively participate in large and small ensembles coached by faculty members.
