Quality
We use studio-grade equipment including hi-caliber microphones, high voltage and tube preamplifiers, and digital recording. In most venues we use an ORTF pattern for its great stereo image, audience noise rejection and consistent ease of setup. On other concerts such as M.S.U. Symphony Orchestra we use the industry-standard Blumlein with spaced omnis and Millennia preamplifiers.

Affordability
Recording Services is a service available only to College of Music students and brings the expensive studio to an affordable student and faculty rate. Because we are partially funded by the University, we are able to offer recordings at equal, if not better, rates than any professional engineer in this area. You just can't get a recording like this at such a low rate anywhere else.
Flexibility
Our services run year-round 24/7.
~ Our microphone cabinet is also diverse enough to aquire the exact sound you are looking for; and our engineers are experienced with selecting the right match.
~ Editing is done on a non-linear Protools system giving us and you the ability to achieve the right sound, and splice by note.
~ Need 2 or 200 discs? We provide in-house duplication as well as out-sourcing for larger projects.
