Recital Recordings

Please download the recital request forms. We will contact you regarding payment and other details. All services must be paid for prior to the recital date. Failure to do so may result in your recital not being recorded.

If you have already signed up for a recital, but not a recording, you may download a Recording Request Form here, and turn it into the Recording Services office (226 Music Building). All recitals must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the recital date. Any recital scheduled after then will be subject to a $40 late fee. If you change your recital time, date, or location, you must notify Recording Services immediately. Failure to give at least 24-hour notice of these changes will result in a $50 fee.

Recitals are mastered to CD. We provide a label with your recital information and a tray insert that includes track and title listing (typically as listed on your recital program). If you are able to drop off a recital program prior to your recital, it will save us time in processing your order. Recital orders are typically ready a week after your recital. Recitals may take longer to process at the end of each semester. You will be notified by email or phone when your order is ready. We will often arrange to leave your order in the main office for you to pick up.

Session Recordings

Preferably, sessions should be scheduled with two weeks notice (especially for evening and weekend sessions). If you need to set up a session with less than two weeks notice, we will do our best to accommodate you, as our schedule allows.

Please allow 30 minutes of set up time for all sessions. Rooms for recording (in order of preference) are: Music Auditorium, and Hart Recital Hall. See the 2008-2009 Recording Services Order Form and Pricing Sheet for additional venues and associated fees.

Recording Services will assemble complete takesjimmy of movements into a larger work. Digital editing (splicing) is available for an additional fee, with advance notice. Allow plenty of time between your session and any deadlines for production of your final master and any copies.
