Giving to Music
Private gifts play a vital role in our continuous mission to enhance and maintain the quality of the Michigan State University College of Music as a premiere training ground for future musicians, composers, conductors, music educators, and music therapists. Your donations support student scholarships, fellowships, program endowments, equipment, guest artists, professorships, operations, and many other crucial funds that make the College of Music an exemplary place of learning.
Public institutions like Michigan State University receive most of their funding from state government appropriations and student tuition, but these dollars are limited. Private financial support has become a major and growing source of revenue to enhance programs and create new initiatives.
Private contributions enable MSU to maintain exceptional programs and facilities, offering a well-rounded collegiate experience. At times financial gifts provide an edge, and at times they ensure survival. I neither circumstance, they are critical. Your commitment makes the difference. To show gratitude for your commitment, MSU has established several levels of recognition to honor all those who provide significant financial support. Each level is acknowledged with a unique and personalized memento.
MSU believes that the special bond is created when individuals realize the incredible impact their contributions have on the university and the lives of its students, faculty and community. Donor Societies at MSU are designed to acknowledge that bond for a lifetime.
