Information for Current MSU Students
- How do I obtain a locker?
There are a limited number of lockers available for the use of music majors only. A $20 nonrefundable, one-time fee is required before a locker key is issued. For more information, contact Karen DeFord in the main office at (517) 353-5340 or defordk@msu.edu. - Who can check out instruments?
Specialized and practice instruments for ensembles and method classes are available to authorized participants. For more information, visit the policies page. To arrange an appointment with the inventory personnel to sign out/sign in an instrument, contact the band office at (517) 355-7654. - Does an override automatically enroll me in a class?
No, you are responsible for enrolling in classes separately. An override just gives you permission to enroll. - Where can I find a travel voucher?
Contact the MSU Controller's Office Travel Department for all travel-related forms. Turn them in to Charlene Wagner in 253 Music Building. - Where/when do I send information for my programs?
Send your program information at least two weeks before your concert or recital to programs@music.msu.edu. You will receive a copy to proofread, and then the main office will make the copies and send them to the facility where you will be performing. If you do not provide the information at least two weeks before your concert or recital, you will be responsible for making your own programs. - How do I check out keys?
See Karen DeFord in the main office of the music building or call (517) 353-5340. For more information, visit the forms and policies page.
