The Chamber Orchestra, established in 1965, was one of only sixteen university orchestras invited to perform in Alice Tully Hall during Lincoln Center's Mozart Bicentennial Celebration. The Orchestra has also toured the states of Michigan and Pennsylvania. The Chamber Orchestra has recorded for the Arizona University Records Company and GIA Records. The Chamber Orchestra is comprised mostly of graduate students from the MSU Symphony Orchestra. The size of the orchestra can range from 16-45 members depending on the composition it is performing, and the conductor.
