Ensembles: Athletic Bands

The Spartan Marching Band
With approximately 300 members, the marching band performs throughout the Fall and early Winter seasons for thousands of fans at home and away football games and the MSU football Bowl Game.

The Spartan Brass
120 members perform at Men's and Women's basketball games as well as hockey games on the campus and during post-season tournaments.

Audition times are posted in the College of Music late September/early October. An audition consists of a prepared solo or etude, sight-reading, and major scales. Spartan Brass is open to any MSU student.
