Audio Engineer Sound Internship Available (Application)

This position is a joint internship with MSU’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble (VJE) and Recording Services.

Intern Responsibilities:

• Setup sound equipment and provide sound reinforcement for two rehearsals per week as well as for performances.
• Class meets 11:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m.Monday through Thursday at MSU’s College of Music.
• Commitment to the Vocal Jazz Ensemble Performance Schedule.

Training/Equipment

Intern will work with Recording Services at the beginning of the Fall semester to learn equipment setup, maintenance, and mixing techniques. The VJE has an eight-channel Mackie mixer, four Mackie speakers, assorted microphones, and cables.

• Formal education is preferable, but not necessary.
