Anacrusis Endows Fund to Support MSU Children's Choir

Anacrusis has pledged $30,000 to create the Anacrusis Endowed Fund in Support of the MSU Children’s Choir. Anacrusis is the parent-patron group that coordinates family and community involvement in the choir’s activities. The endowment will provide annual resources for choir activities and program needs, such as scholarships, uniforms, travel, and the longstanding tradition of commissioning new works by established choral composers. The majority of the singers in the 56-voice MSU Children’s Choir are in grades five through nine. The choir’s fourth CD, Songs From the Heart, was released in October 2003.

“It is extremely important that we secure endowment dollars that will help ensure the future of this vibrant program,” says Mary Alice Stollak, founder and director of the choir. “What could be more important than supporting an endowment that will help to transform the lives of so many children?”
