Giving to the MSU College of Music
Private gifts play a vital role in our continuous mission to enhance and
maintain the quality of the Michigan State University College of Music as a
premiere training ground for future musicians, composers, conductors,
music educators, and music therapists. Your donations support student
scholarships, fellowships, program endowments,
equipment, guest artists, professorships, operations, and many other
crucial funds that make the College of Music an exemplary place of
learning.
We rely on your support now more than ever in this time of immense growth
and change for the School. We are in the midst of a comprehensive capital
campaign in which one of our top priority is the construction of a
state-of-the-art music building. With your help, our campaign will help
transform the College of Music into an even stronger place of learning and
inquiry, enabling us to achieve the highest levels of artistic creativity,
research, outreach, and service.
Public institutions like Michigan State University receive most of their
funding from state government appropriations and student tuition, but
these dollars are limited. Private financial support has become a major
and growing source of revenue to enhance programs and create new
initiatives.
We will soon be adding a comprehensive list with descriptions of College of Music funds (scholarships, fellowships, endowments, etc.) for which you
can contribute. If you are interested in making a gift to the general
