Faculty
- Extensive performance background as soloists and in symphonic and chamber music; maintain active performance schedules with national and international orchestras including Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Toronto, to name a few.
- Regularly brings nationally and internationally renowned artists to campus for concerts, master classes, and lectures, providing a window to the national and international music scene.
- Impressive discography with numerous recordings on such labels as: Crystal, Leonardo, Amadeus, Grenadilla, Musical Heritage, RCA, Albany, AUR, Veriatza, and Channel Classics.
- Host events including MSU Saxophone Weekend and Contemporary Clarinet Festival, highlighting prominent guest artists.

Graduates of the Program
- High placement rate for graduates in universities and symphonies throughout the country.
- High placement rate at well-known institutions such as the Universities of Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Montana; the Eastman College of Music; Southwest Missouri and Louisiana State Universities; and North Carolina School of the Arts.
- Graduates are performing with prestigious ensembles including the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra; the Honolulu, Dallas, Columbus, Akron and Charlottesville Symphonies; the Prism Saxophone Quartet and the U.S. Marine Band and U.S. Air Force Band, to name a few.
