- Jack Budrow, professor of music and co-chair of the string area, was asked to do a podcast interview for Contrabassconversations.com, the National Bass Forum. Budrow talked about his teaching and performance career. Podcast
- Richard Sherman, professor of flute, and Jan Eberle, associate professor of oboe, along with pianist Kimberly Schmidt received positive reviews for their Blue Griffin Recording, "Spectral Trio," by John Sunier of the Audiophile Audition. The recording features performances of works by Madeleine Dring, William Grant Still, and Jean Michel Damase and is dedicated to the memory of Kimberly Schmidt (1950-2007) who passed away a few months before the project was complete.
- George Vatchnadze, assistant professor of piano, received positive reviews in the Mercury News in March for his performance with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra at Dinkelspiel Auditorium during the "Stravinsky Project."
