College of Music Other News

• Senior Sara MacKimmie, a voice student of Melanie Helton, was accepted into graduate programs at both Westminster Choir College and the Peabody Institute of Music. MacKimmie has decided to attend Peabody, where she will study with acclaimed soprano Phyllis Bryn-Julson.
• In March, Cynthia Taggart, professor and area chair of music education, and undergraduate students Erin Little, Deanne Morell, and Jennifer Morris traveled to Cornerstone School in Detroit to work with the early childhood students and teachers.
